This room has really come a long way. I am not thrilled with the tables but they will do till I find the right ones. Finally this room feels right or at least righter. Pink backpack and little kiddo head are optional features for this room.

Pink backpack and little kiddo head are optional features for this room. I finally got the canvas pictures I ordered and this is my first stab at my mantle with them. I am not thrilled with it yet but I don't hate it either. Hmmm are you getting the feeling I have a love/hate relationship with my mantle.
This is the finished lamp. Not bad huh. I found a shade a the Goodwill and wrapped burlap around it. I burned the #$&# out of my fingers but it looks good. Total cost for cool blue lamp and shade.....$6.48. See mom the blue lamp does match something in the room. The pictures on the mantle.
And as mentioned previously I redid my pillows because the floral pattern clashed with the floral pattern in the rug. I am not sure what I initially bought this green and brown leopard print upholstery fabric for but it works perfect for these pillows and I didn't have to buy a thing.
One last picture. I have been trying to find something for this little wall in the dining room and I decided to frame a couple of Marla's pictures. I didn't have to buy a thing. The frames were holding ugly prints in a closet in the basement and the mattes are made from scrap book paper. I know, I know artwork only a mother could love.....and I do. See my sad little basil plant in the window. I have visions of making that little useless window a mini green house with herbs. Another project for the future.

Love it! All of it! LOL I love your pics on the bottom there! They are fun and they work in the space!! I want to come have tea in your living room!!! Well.. I want to come have tea and have a grand tour.. but... it's a long drive! LOl
