Christmas Cookies

Well, haven't I just been in the spirit lately! Saturday morning Marla wanted to make cookies so I decided it was time to break out the cookie cutters. In a former life I would have made the homemade dough the day before in bulk and spent hours baking and meticulously decorating a bazillion cookies. Now a days we mix up a batch of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix and spend about an hour on the whole shebang. Result - Perfection!

Why do I insist on only taking pictures of myself when I look the most honest....you know like this one with no makeup. Oh well. That playdoh practice has really paid of in the cookie cutting territory. Marla did a very good job at cutting the shapes out.

Next the sprinkles. There were ore on the pan then on the cookies.

...and the best part, the taste testing. No one seemed to mind that I over baked the second pan to a nutty brown verses a golden brown.
